I recently moved to Prairieville after living in northwest Louisiana for the past 10 years. I am married to my college sweetheart and when I'm not working I enjoy spending quality times with my husband and our two fur-babies, Maddie & Marley.  Marley is my wild one and keeps me on my toes and Maddie girl is my anchor and keeps me grounded.  I am thrilled to be a part of the Ascension Parish community, and I am looking forward to growing with the community and helping its members become their best selves. 

 I see counseling as a process in which you, the client, and I, the counselor, having come to an understanding and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion towards realizing those goals. I believe that each client has different needs; therefore, I use several different approaches and techniques, which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Systemic Therapy. Additionally, I use Client-Centered Therapy to cater to your specific needs and create a safe environment in which you experience a sense of acceptance, openness, and empowerment. 

 I work with teens (14 and up), adults, and families who may be experiencing difficulties in their home, family, work, school, and community due to mental health or behavioral issues. I focus on clients dealing with  depression, anxiety, life transitions, and difficulties in parental and/or personal relationships.  I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults and helping them manage their stress and emotions while balancing the demands of school. home, and personal lives and planning for their futures.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, with a Minor Degree in Family and Child Studies and  a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Guidance  both from Louisiana Tech (Go DAWGS!) .  I am a Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor  (License No. 6676).
