I'm Haylie, born and raised in Prairieville. I am enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana's counseling program and plan to graduate in Spring of 2025. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, spending time with loved ones and with my three dogs (Allie, Fanny, and Oliver). I enjoy learning and regularly find myself engaged with exploring new topics. Growing up, I helped my mom in her preschool classroom and later worked as a daycare teacher and nanny. These experiences helped me develop a passion for working with kids and adolescents.
My approach to counseling combines aspects of Adlerian, Person-Centered, Family Systems, and Multicultural theories. I am passionate about play therapy and working with children and adolescents (ages 5 and up). I have experience with concerns related to relational patterns, childhood experiences, relationship concerns, life changes, grief experiences, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community.
I work with adults, children and adolescents (ages 10 and up).
