Our therapists strive to provide affirming, supportive, inclusive therapy to folks of all genders and honor intersectional identities. We are understanding of the unique social pressures and mental health concerns LGBTQAIP+ clients face through lived experience as accomplices within the LGBTQAIP+ community. We are dedicated to continued growth and training in diversity, sexuality and upholding the WPATH standards of care in our practice.
Tiffany (she/her) is the owner of Prairieville Counseling and Wellness Center. She is passionate about ensuring that Prairieville Counseling is a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ+ community in Louisiana to find mental health support. Tiffany started the LGBTQ+ Adolescent Support group in 2016 and has over a decade of experience working as an advocate and ally for the LGBTQ+ community.
Kirsten (she/her) is the group leader of our Allies Unite Family Support Group. This group is a supportive group for those navigating their child's LGBTQ+ journey to foster understanding and acceptance. This group meets once per month on Saturdays from 10 am to 12pm with an investment of $20 per group. Kirsten is passionate about education and advocacy and has spent time at our state capitol speaking to our state legislators, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. She has also presented at state conferences to advocate for ethical and affirming LGBTQ+ mental health care.
Kirsten understands the importance of continued education and has completed safe space trainings, surgical and post operative gender affirming care for mental health providers, transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) communities, working with trans youth and their families and more.
Jen (she/they) is the group leader of our LGBTQ+ Adolescent Support Group. This group is a therapeutic support group for adolescents who identify as LGBTQ+ to share their experiences and build upon connection and support. This group meets every other Tuesday from 6:00pm-7:30pm with an investment of $30 per group. Pre-registration is required.
Jennifer is passionate about education and advocacy and has spent time at our state capitol speaking to our state legislators, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. She has also presented at state conferences to advocate for ethical and affirming LGBTQ+ mental health care.
Jen understands the importance of continued education and has completed safe space trainings, relational cultural theory and internalized homophobia, intersectional authenticity with LGBTQ+ clients, working with trans youth and their families and more.
Jess (she/her) is a PLPC with a deep passion for supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ population through various stages of their personal journey. She offers counseling to individuals navigating identity, as well as to family members as they work through acceptance, grief, and their process of becoming supportive allies.
Jess remains actively informed on laws and policies impacting the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to ongoing education to ensure she provides the most relevant and compassionate care to her clients.
