I'm Madison! My dream of becoming a counselor began in childhood, when I experienced firsthand the life-changing impact of a great counselor during a difficult time in school. That experience planted the seed for a lifelong passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. As I got older, I saw the increasing need for mental health support and felt called to this work. I’m an animal lover and a music enthusiast—whether I’m singing or simply listening, music is one of the ways I connect with the world and regulate my own emotions.
I approach counseling from an Adlerian perspective, focusing on the uniqueness of each person and their drive for connection, meaning, and belonging. I integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy to help clients explore and rewrite the stories they tell themselves—stories that reflect not just where they’ve been, but who they are becoming. Together, we’ll look at patterns of thinking and behavior, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and build on your strengths. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels right for you, and I strive to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe and supported.
I work with adolescents (ages 10 and up) , adults and couples navigating a variety of life experiences. I also offer relationship therapy. I have experience and additional training in the following areas:
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from Louisiana State University and and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.
In 2020, I completed an online course from Yale called The Science of Well-Being to learn how to cope with the pandemic and better support others.
