Glenn Tregre, Jr., LPC

About Me

I am Licensed Professional Counselor with over 17 years of experience helping clients navigate life’s twists and turns. I live in Paulina with my wife, Christie, and our French Bulldogs, Mac and Coco—who run the house and let us live there. When I’m not in session, you can usually find me watching movies, indulging in Louisiana cuisine, or making sure my coworkers never go without fresh seafood. As the unofficial  in-house seafood supplier, I take my role very seriously—because therapy is important, but so is a good crab boil. I’m on a mission to check off a major bucket list goal: visiting every MLB stadium. Baseball, travel, and ballpark hot dogs? That is my kind of therapy.

My Approach

I believe everyone has the ability to grow and change—even when life throws curveballs. I work with individuals facing a variety of challenges, but I specialize in helping men navigate issues like anger, stress, life transitions, grief, and the weight of expectations. I also work with couples at every stage of their relationship—whether they’re gearing up for marriage, struggling to stay afloat, or figuring out life after divorce. With years of experience in the school system, state agencies, and now private practice, I’ve worked with adolescents and their families on everything from childhood experiences and parenting struggles to teaching social skills and improving family dynamics.  My approach pulls from different counseling theories, including CBT, but I lean heavily on Choice Theory—because empowering my clients to take charge of their decisions and meet their own needs is what it’s all about.

My Specialties

I work with adolescents (ages 14 and up), adults, relationships, and families.  I have experience and additional training in the following areas:

  • Men's Experiences
  • Relationship Counseling
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

My Education

I have a Bachelor of Arts  Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling both from Nicholls State University.  I hold the following licenses and certifications:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), License # 3864
  • Trained in Divorce Mediation and Parent coordination
