Glenn Tregre, Jr., LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 16 years experience in working with clients. I  live  in Paulina with my wife, Christie, and our French Bulldog, Mac.  When I am not working, you can find me watching movies and enjoying some Louisiana seafood.   

My experience includes working with children and adolescents (ages 14 and older) and their families addressing personal, childhood, and parenting issues as well as teaching social skills. I work with adults in individual, group, and family sessions and provide marriage counseling. The counseling provided uses techniques from various theories of counseling, but is centered on choice theory, which empowers clients to make responsible decisions to meet their needs, and a cognitive behavioral perspective. 

I’ve worked in numerous different settings through my career including working as a school counselor in a private school in NOLA , mental health rehabilitation, divorce mediation, and US probation.  Throughout all of my experience I have found that helping my clients overcome the two biggest stressors of  anxiety and depression is where I feel the most comfortable.  Anxiety and depression is so prevalent in todays world due to hurricanes, pandemics, life changes, and everyday stressors.  I provide marriage and couples counseling and help couples improve their relationships.   I feel that with my coping mechanisms, I can help my clients  accomplish goals towards a happier and healthier life.  

I have a Bachelor of Arts  Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling both from Nicholls State University.  I hold the following licenses and certifications:

• Licensed Professional Counselor  (LPC), License # 3864 
• Trained in Divorce Mediation and Parent coordination
