 I am excited that you have taken time to learn more about me and what I do.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in private practice for 10 years. I grew up in Baton Rouge and have lived in both Ascension and Livingston Parish for most of my life.  I have 2 daughters who attended high school in Ascension at DTHS & ACH and both are LSU graduates.  On the weekends I am dressed in purple and gold and enjoying some football (Geaux Tigers!) or spending time tending my plants.    I am licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. 

I view counseling as a collaborative approach in which we work together as a team to achieve the goals you set. I use multiple approaches to address therapy including Talking things through, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), learning about emotions, how the way we think about things can impact our emotions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients identify how their emotions feel in their body, informed therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy.   Each client has different needs and my approach is customized to your individual experiences and needs.   

I love working with clients and get excited when I see positive changes they have made. I have experience with counseling adults and adolescents who are struggling with symptoms of stress, depression, grief, and relationships struggles. I specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety and clients who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have anxiety myself and have learned how to cope with it in healthy ways.  I want to share my knowledge with my clients so that they too can learn to manage their anxiety.
