I grew up in Colorado and moved to Louisiana when I was 12. Family is very important to me, and I share my home with my thirteen year old black lab, Nola, who keeps me active and grounded. Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading, journaling, spending time in nature, exploring new places, visiting local coffee shops and libraries, and going to museums. I have also worked at LSU for the past three years, which has been a meaningful part of my professional journey.
I was drawn to psychology at a young age due to a deep curiosity about people, their emotions, and the experiences that shape who they become. I find purpose in helping others feel heard, supported, and less alone, and I value creating a space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences and moving forward at their own pace.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client centered. I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and respected. I draw from person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based strategies, and trauma informed care to help clients develop insight and practical coping skills. Sessions often include emotional awareness, grounding techniques, and psychoeducation to support everyday functioning.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in university, private practice, and telehealth settings. I tailor my work to each client’s strengths, goals, and needs with a focus on building resilience and meaningful change at a comfortable pace.
I enjoy working with adolescents ages twelve and up, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, grief, identity development, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting clients who feel overwhelmed or uncertain about their next steps and want to build confidence and balance in daily life.
I have experience in the following areas:
I earned my Associate of Humanities from River Parishes Community College and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University. I am currently pursuing my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LSU and plan to graduate in May 2026.
My training includes trauma informed care, Safe Space training, psychological first aid, the science of body language, and CITI certification in human subjects research. I have participated in research and academic projects focused on anxiety, grief, coping, and meaning making, and I plan to pursue a doctoral degree in the future.
I am currently a member of the following professional organizations:
• American Counseling Association
• American Psychological Association
• Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society
