Hi, I’m Emma! I grew up in Prairieville and have spent my life in Ascension Parish, so this community has always felt like home. Dance at Center Stage was a big part of my life growing up, and I even spent a year as a Lionette at Southeastern Louisiana University. I still love expressing myself through music and spending time with family, friends, and my calico cat, Baby, who my husband and I consider our first child.
A meaningful part of my story is being born with bilateral microtia and growing up hard of hearing, which led to multiple surgeries and struggles with self esteem. I began therapy at a young age, and that experience shaped my life in a powerful way. It showed me the importance of having a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood without judgment. Now, I feel grateful to walk alongside others, helping them build confidence, find their voice, and feel less alone in what they are facing.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded with a focus on understanding your unique experiences, sense of belonging, and the patterns that shape how you see yourself and the world. I also incorporate evidence based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support meaningful and lasting change. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with guidance, support, and encouragement as you navigate challenges and work toward the life you want.
I enjoy creating a personalized and engaging therapy experience by incorporating approaches such as faith based counseling, art, mindfulness, and hands on interventions when it feels like a good fit. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and comfortable as we work together to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support your growth.
I work with clients (ages 10+) , including adolescents, teens, adults, and couples. I especially enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, build confidence, and navigate relationships in ways that feel healthy and authentic.
I have experience and additional training in the following areas:
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.
In the future I hope to pursue training in Brainspotting, play therapy, grief counseling and eating disorders.
