Hi, I’m Kirsten (she/her), I work with people navigating everyday struggles — the kind that may not look huge from the outside, but feel heavy on the inside. From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people navigate mental health experiences. This passion began in 7th grade after witnessing my Godfather's family cope with a significant loss. Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me hanging out with my baby boy, hosting game nights with my D&D group, or spending time with my two quirky cats. I still miss my sweet dog who passed in 2020 — he was the best.
I support clients who are dealing with light anxiety or depression, adjusting to life as a parent, or simply trying to feel more connected to themselves and their bodies. In our work together, we will focus on building awareness, both emotional and physical , so you can better understand what you are feeling, why it matters, and what to do with it. I use mindfulness-based approaches and a strong mind-body lens to help clients feel more grounded, present, and equipped to manage life’s ups and downs.
No matter what you bring to my (in person or virtual) office, you can expect to be met with non-judgement, compassion, and authenticity. I am committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all my clients. .
I work with adolescents (ages 14 and older), adults, and older adult clients. I also offer relationship counseling. I have additional training and experience in the following areas:
I have presented at the Terrel Conference 2020, Holy Cross Ethic’s Conference 2020 & 2021, and LCA 2020 & 2022. I am available for speaking and presentation events.
I earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. I hold the following licenses and certifications:
